Browser storage instead
A handful of small entries are written to your browser's local storage (kept on this device until cleared) or session storage (gone when the tab closes). They all start with the letters emdn. and never leave your device.
Kept on the device whatever you choose
- emdn.age: your answer to the age question, so the question appears only once.
- emdn.consent: whether you accepted or rejected storage.
- emdn.pause: when your current pause runs out, so the chambers stay shut until that moment.
- emdn.quiet: the start time of your quiet hours.
These are strictly necessary: without them the age gate, your storage choice and the breaks you set could not work.
Stored only with your yes
- emdn.glints: your glints.
- emdn.banners: your rank, banners and chamber totals.
- emdn.settings: ember checks, visit limits and calm mode.
If you reject storage these three items are kept in session storage instead and vanish when you close the tab.
Stored for one visit
- emdn.visit: the time, rounds and glints of this visit, for the brazier and ember checks.
- emdn.log: the last few rounds of this visit.
- emdn.stake.(chamber): the stake you last chose in a chamber.
These live in session storage and are cleared when the tab closes.
Changing your choice
Use the "Change storage choice" button in the footer of any page. Rejecting after accepting removes your glints, banners and settings from the device. You can also wipe this site's data from your browser settings; note that this also clears a pause or quiet hours.
